What is Vet Consults?
Welcome to VetConsults. We are a one-stop, digital avenue for comprehensive pet health. Our furry and feathery pets rely on us. Quite often, they need care the most when it is least available.
As veterinarians, we noticed that the Friday night/weekend emergency, that one time on holiday you were far away from your vet, or the stressful car ride you would love to avoid if possible often stops pet owners from seeking immediate care.
VetConsults connects you to a vet, an opinion, and a caring expert when you need it most - easily and more frequently.
Being a pet owner, while extremely rewarding, can be quite challenging; we’re with you every step of the way.

We are a small veterinary community trying to make veterinary care available to a wider audience in New Zealand. Our idea for digital vet care was born in 2020.
Dr. Robert
Veterinarian & Educator
Robert graduated from Massey University in 2011. He completed a small animal internship at the Massey University Specialist Teaching Hospital. Robert holds a vet license and is registered in both New Zealand and the United States. He has a particular interest in small animal surgical conditions, animal behaviour, emergency medicine, and is passionate about making veterinary medicine accessible to everyone.
Robert lives with four dogs, three cats, two eclectus parrots, one wife, and her collection of houseplants (who outnumber us all). Robert teaches at and co-runs the Massey-SPCA Desexing Clinic as a volunteer, and in his spare time, he is working on a PhD in small animal medicine.

Dr. Margaret
Veterinarian
Margaret graduated from Massey University with a BVSc. She has worked in a busy clinic in Auckland, taking care of small animal and exotic patients. Margaret has a particular interest in avian medicine, especially husbandry and diet. She also enjoys all aspects of companion animal veterinary care, and is passionate about educating and advocating for better health and wellbeing for our furry/feathered companions.
In her spare time, you can find Margaret spending time with her menagerie of animals, which includes dogs, cats and a flock of parrots. She also enjoys bush walks, crafts, and spending time with her family and friends.

Dr. Anna
Veterinarian
Anna is a graduate of Massey University. She originally grew up in the US, but has lived in New Zealand for over 10 years and now calls this lovely country home! She practices as a mixed animal Veterinarian and is at home treating your large animal lifestyle pets as she is small animals. She is passionate about mixed practice, as it provides endless excitement, variety, and new learning opportunities.
She’s also a keen open-water swimmer, has recently taken up trail running, and generally loves being outdoors exploring the country...usually with her dog Willow closely attached.
